Jhal Muri
Ingredients:
2 cups puffed rice
3 tablespoons chana chur or sev
¼ cup onions, diced (small)
⅓ cup yellow potatoes, boiled and smashed
½ teaspoon bird’s eye chillies, thinly chopped
2 tablespoons tomatoes, diced (small)
2 tablespoons cucumber, julienne
⅓ cup cilantro, chopped
½ teaspoon roasted cumin powder
½ teaspoon chaat masala
½ teaspoon black salt
½ teaspoon Kashmiri red chilli powder
1 tablespoon freshly squeezed lime juice
1 + 2 tablespoons mustard oil or Mango Achar Chili Oil
Directions:
Peel, dice, boil and smash potatoes.
Add 1 tablespoon of mustard oil and chaat masala to the mashed potatoes and incorporate it.
Add onions, chillies, tomatoes, cilantro, cucumber, salt, spices, and mustard oil to a large mixing bowl and give it a good mash to release all the juices.
Add puffed rice and seasoned mashed potatoes to the bowl and stir to incorporate everything. Serve.
